Tom Cruise Confirms Katie Holmes Left Him To Protect Suri From Scientology

  • Awhile ago, Tom Cruise sued the publishers of In Touch magazine over their claims that he “abandoned” his daughter, Suri, after his divorce from Katie Holmes. In a deposition taken this September that has just been made public, Cruise was asked numerous questions about Scientology and Katie’s fears about the “religion.” After repeatedly stating that he found the questions “offensive,” he insisted, “There is no need to protect my daughter from my religion.” When asked directly about whether Katie left him because she wanted to protect Suri from Scientology, Cruise said, “Did she say that? That was one of the assertions, yes.” Suri is also currently not practicing Scientology, he confirmed, but he refused to answer whether Katie is a “suppressive person.” Interesting. [Radar Online]
