Weekend Shut-In Worksheet: Stalk Banksy, Read The Husband’s Secret & Eat All The Nutella Marshmallow Pillow Pockets

Activities are wonderful, but sometimes, it’s fine to want to shut the world out for a couple of days, and make some serious time for you. Don’t be afraid of FOMO, either. There will always be another party, another pub crawl, another picnic. The time you’ll spend indulging in the things you want to do, alone, are well worth it. Here’s a handy list of awesome things to do this weekend!

  • I’ve heard rave reviews about The Husband’s Secret, a book by Liane Moriarty about a woman who reads a note from her husband that she’s not supposed to read until after his death. Scandalous! – Katie
  • Generally, I am so over the “can women have it all?” debate, but this piece from Elissa Strauss at Salon — about women who aren’t so ambitious that they want it all anyway — hit the damn nail on the head. Not-really-that-ambitious women, unite! – Amelia
  • Jennifer Senior’s profile and Q&A with Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia in the current issue of New York magazine is a serious must read. — Amelia

  • “The Walking Dead” is back tonight! I’ll be live-tweeting the premiere for @TheFrisky on Twitter. Remember: If Daryl dies, we riot! – Amelia

  • Lighting Bolt, the new album from Pearl Jam, is officially out on Tuesday, but is currently streaming on iTunes. I will be spending the day memorizing all the lyrics, in preparation for the two NYC shows I’ll be attending next weekend. PJ FOREVER. — Amelia

  • Now is your chance to stalk Banksy while he has his way with NYC! — Ami
  • A fellow Spin Media staffer made Betty Crocker Apple Pie cupcakes this week. After finding out that you use cinnamon rolls as the BASE of the cupcake, I’m making them and will enjoy every pound I gain. – Katie
  • Four words: NUTELLA. MARSHMALLOW. PILLOW. POCKETS. These look sooooo good and they take about 2 minutes to make. Perfect for a Sunday morning sugar rush. – Winona
  • The cabinet under my bathroom sink has gotten suuuuuuper unruly lately. One of my goals is to buy some tupperware bins and get it all organized and clearly labeled. This photo/strategy is inspiring me! — Winona
  • Transform plain, boring Ikea curtains with this pink pom-pom hack. – Jessica
