Get ready for heartbreak, Finchel fans. The most dreaded/anticipated episode in “Glee” history is here, and I, for one, have stocked up on Kleenex, because I will become a snot monster at exactly 9 p.m.
Tonight, “Glee” says goodbye to Finn Hudson in a special tribute episode to Cory Monteith, who passed away in July from a toxic combination of heroin and alcohol.
How the show creators have chosen to go about “killing off” Cory’s character is still unknown, but what we do know that it will not be from a drug overdose.
Other things we know: Lea Michele, Cory’s on-and off-screen girlfriend, sings a heartbreaking rendition of “To Make You Feel My Love,” and the writers found inspiration from Lea and Cory’s real-life romance, which was reflected in the tribute. Other tracks from the episode include “Seasons of Love” from the Broadway musical “Rent,” James Taylor’s “Fire & Rain,” The Pretenders’ “I’ll Stand by You,” The Band Perry’s “If I Die Young” and Bruce Springsteen’s “No Surrender.”
The Frisky will be live tweeting through the entire gut-wrenching hour of “The Quarterback” tonight, and we feel it’s in your best interest to join us on Twitter as we try to keep our shit together. We’ll have your back if you have ours …just as a quarterback would do.
Tune into “Glee” tonight at 9 p.m. EST on FOX and be sure to join @TheFrisky on Twitter.
P.S. Let us apologize in advance. If our tweets are illegible, it’s because Katie’s big crocodile tears have blurred her vision and she is likely just hitting her keyboard yelling “Whhhyyyyyy?!?!”
