Rachel Roy shocked us with one of our favorite shows of NYFW so far. The collection embodies a downtown coolness without being overtly chilly or overly pretentious. In short, we wish we could wear it all, but alas! It’s not in the budget, and instead, we’ll admire from afar. Roy was in good company, too. There were great collections from Alexander Wang, Christian Siriano, Suno and Derek Lam — and you can check ‘em all out after the jump! And don’t forget to tell us who you love, in the comments.
Alexander Wang did his signature black, white and totally cool thing.
Suno is one of my favorites — but this collection felt a bit lackluster in the color department. Still, Suno on a bad day is better than most.
Derek Lam exudes studied thoughtfulness and understated sex appeal.
Christian Siriano’s collection was the epitome of feminine softness and grace.
