It’s Time To Cry: Couple Weds Early So Their Terminally Ill Son Can Serve As Best Man

Get out your tissues, because this one’s a doozy. Christine Swidorsky and her fiance Sean Stevenson were planning to marry in July 2014, but after getting the news that their two-year-old son Logan, who suffers from acute myeloid leukemia, only had a couple weeks left to live, they decided to change the date to “as soon as possible.” They were able to throw together a lovely ceremony on Saturday, with Logan, dressed up in a tiny pinstripe suit, walking down the aisle with his mom and serving as the couple’s best man. The 12-minute ceremony included tears of joy and tears of sadness. Logan was able to appear in family photos along with the couple’s two other children, and his favorite stuffed rabbit was even immortalized in frosting on the wedding cake.

Two days after the wedding, Logan passed away. In a grief-stricken Facebook post, Christine shared the news and sent out a sweet message to Logan: “He is with angels and he’s in no more pain. No more sickness no more hospitals … I’ll [see you] in my dreams my son.” So heartbreaking. [Daily Mail]
