Lesbian Couple Marries In Front Of Westboro Baptist Church

  • Amazing: a lesbian couple got hitched in a gay-homosexual-same-sex-definitely-not-straight marriage ceremony right across the street from the Westboro Baptist Church in Topeka, Kansas. I love it! Katie Short and Kimberly Kidwell wed at Equality House, a rainbow-painted nonprofit right across from the hate group’s headquarters, by a pastor who wanted to marry a same-sex couple. Of course, it’s unclear whether the union is legal, as same-sex marriage is banned in KS. In any case, one of the brides said she wasn’t even angry about WBC protesting their nuptials because “We were just so ecstatic to be getting married.” Awww. [Feministing]
