We all make mistakes. And Taylor Randall, the University of Colorado undergrad who had to be coaxed off a mountain by police yesterday, is no exception. On Monday, the 21-year-old communications major went hiking with a couple of friends in the mountains surrounding Boulder, Colorado. While on their journey, the three decided to take some psychotropic mushrooms.
Mushrooms on a mountain? Sounds dreamy, huh? Eh, not so much.
Taylor allegedly began scuffling and fighting with her two fellow hikers. She then stripped down naked on the trail. Her friends called 911 and a park ranger was dispatched to try and control the situation, and eventually cops had to step in. They were forced to handcuff the naked Randall, and tried to cover her with a blanket, but she pushed it off.
She was charged with unlawful consumption of an illegal substance and was released following a hospital checkup. The moral of the story? You can either hike a mountain on mushrooms, or get naked on mushrooms in the privacy of your own home. But you can’t do all three at the same time. [The Smoking Gun]
