UPDATE (8:17 p.m. EST): NBC’s Pete Williams is reporting that there is now a fire on the boat where Dzhokhar Tsarnaev is believed to be hiding. [CNBC Twitter]

After an all-day manhunt, police have surrounded a house, specifically a boat behind a house, on Franklin Street in Watertown, MA, where the second suspect, Dzhokhar Tsarnaev (pictured), is hiding. Shots have been fired and residents nearby have been told to take cover. [NBC NewsBuzzfeed]

Shots were fired shortly after 7 p.m., only an hour after police lifted the day-long lockdown on the city of Boston. Police were tipped off by a woman who saw blood in the backyard of a house in Watertown. This indicates that, if the suspect is indeed the person hiding inside the boat in the backyard, he was likely injured during the firefight with police late last night/early this morning. [NBC News]

ABC News spoke to an eyewitness who said “his neighbor went to check boat behind his house today, saw blood, climbed up ladder to open boat’s cover, saw a body, called police.” (This obviously conflicts with the report that a woman called police.) [ABC News]

According to ABC News, police say that three individuals were also brought in for questioning by the FBI, in connection to the hunt for Tsarnaev. [ABC News Twitter]
