Drake Releases New Track, “Girls Love Beyonce,” Desperately Wants A Girlfriend

It’s hard times for Wheelchair Jimmy, you guys. The rapper Drake — also famous for his role on the Canadian teen show “Degrassi” — may be at the top of the rap game, but he’s having a hard time with the ladies. In his newly released track, “Girls Love Beyonce,” Drake, with help from singer-songwriter James Fauntleroy sampling Destiny’s Child’s “Say My Name,” bemoans his lady troubles:

These days it’s hard to meet women
Feel like my love life is finished
I’ve been avoiding commitment
That’s why I’m in this position

He goes on to moodily rap that he’s searching for a woman “who will help me think of someone besides myself” and “someone I leave the front door with cause we don’t want to hide no more.” Okay, boo, I’m sure there are plenty of takers. Say, Amanda Bynes? While critical and fan reception has been mixed, I actually kind of like “Girls Love Beyonce,” but I’m a softie. What say you? [Billboard]
