Andrew W.K. Is The New Spokesmonkey For Playtex’s Fresh & Sexy Wipes

When I first thought of it, Andrew W.K. seemed the most inappropriate spokesperson for Playtex’s new/intriguing/mildly ew-inspriring Fresh & Sexy Wipes. The guy walks around wearing food-stained jeans and greasy, unwashed hair. There is nothing “fresh” about his look.

But then again, AWK’s role as spokesmodel, which is, inexplicably, totally a real thing, is almost so wrong it’s right. Said Playtex of their unholy union, the Fresh & Sexy wipes “required the help of someone who could embody the brand’s playful yet bold campaign: someone who could party hard, but still be clean when it counted.”

Mmkay! And that’s not all! The company has created a special “Andrew W.K. Sensory Kit,” which is a litttttle bit terrifying. Like, does it involve dirty white tee shirts? Bloody noses?

And you wanted a quote from W.K. on this mess? “Whether you just finished rocking a packed club or have an intimate encounter after a busy day, this product will make couples feel brand new. Fresh + Sexy Wipes were specially designed to help couples feel confidently clean, before and after they engage in sexual activity!”
