Rock ‘n’ roller Chubby Checker is in a twist about a penis size app that shares his name. The 71-year-old musician is suing Hewlett-Packard to the tune of half a million dollars for “irreparable damage and harm” caused by the “Chubby Checker” app for HP’s Palm OS. The app has since been removed from the HP catalogue, but the previous description read: “Any of you ladies out there just start seeing someone new and wondering what the size of their member is? … All you need to do is find out the man’s shoe size and plug it in and … there is no need for disappointment or surprise.”
Chubby Checker’s lawyers argue that that the app will “blur and tarnish” his trademark and associate his name with “obscene, sexual connotation and images.” “This lawsuit is about preserving the integrity and legacy of a man who has spent years working hard at his musical craft and has earned the position of one of the greatest musical entertainers of all time,” said his legal team.
That, and the app is ridiculous for a number of reasons. If you want to find out the size of your new dude’s penis, it shouldn’t take much effort. In my experience, men are more than eager to get naked when the opportunity arises. Pun intended! And once they are naked, chances are they care more about the size of their own penis more than anyone else does. More scientifically speaking, according to research, the correlation between shoe size and penis size is weak at best.
