Amy Poehler may be one of the funniest women ever — not to mention mom to my favorite big serious baby, Abel Arnett — but she also strikes me as one of the more sincere celebs in Hollywood. One of my favorite things about her Ask Amy video advice series is how genuine and thoughtful it is. She’s still funny, but giving the best possible advice she can comes first. In this episode, Amy responds to a girl who’s having hard time saying she’s apologizing to her mom. Amy stresses the impact of saying sorry not just on the recipient but on the apology-giver as well, and that, like anything, it takes practice.
