Last night’s Golden Globe Awards were, hands down, the funniest the show has ever been. I’m serious. I realize that’s a big statement to make, but Tina Fey and Amy Poehler brought it and, frankly, were even a bit under used. And I never say that about award show hosts. But the show overall was filled with many, many awesome moments, from Adele’s win for best song, to Lena Dunham and “Girls” surprise wins, to Jodie Foster’s incredible kinda sorta coming out speech. Let’s review the best moments, in picture, GIF and video form…

Tina Fey and Amy Poehler’s opening monologue was laugh-out-loud funny.

We especially loved this zinger about Taylor Swift.

Although Taylor Swift didn’t seem to appreciate it.

She also probably didn’t appreciate losing the Best Original Song award to Adele, who won for her “Skyfall” song, but who gives a fuck? Yay Adele!

Taylor didn’t have to feign her usual surprise face, but Anne Hathaway did instead. Even though she was a shoe-in to win Best Supporting Actress in a Musical or Comedy, the actress still pretended to be stunned when she won. Also, someone get the girl an inhaler — she’s so breathless!

Another win we were excited about — Jennifer Lawrence won Best Actress in a Musical or Comedy for her role in “Silver Linings Playbook.” She made a crack about “beating Meryl,” which was not a Streep diss, but a line from “The First Wives Club.” Also, she thanked mob kingpin, err, studio exec Harvey Weinstein.

Our favorite women of many expressions, Claire Danes, won for her work in “Homeland” and debuted what the tabloid’s call a “post-baby bod” just one month after giving birth to son Clyde. She thanked him for helping her fight terrorism.

Oh look, it’s Tina Fey in drag!

Some guy named Bill Clinton came out to introduce “Lincoln” as one of the nominees for Best Motion Picture Drama, but I wasn’t sure who that was until Tina and Amy clarified for me.

Best Actress in a TV Series Comedy is such a tight race … good thing Amy Poehler has her good luck charm, George Clooney to nuzzle with as the nominees are read…

But alas, the award was bestowed upon Lena Dunham in an upset. Yay Lena! Lena’s speech was great. And she gave a shout out to Chad Lowe, because Hilary Swank forgot him that one time.

As funny as Tina and Amy? Will Ferrell and Kristen Wiig, who basically did their own version of “Saturday Night Live”‘s Garth and Kath.

Probably the show’s most amazing moment came when Jodie Foster was given the Cecil B. DeMille Award and used it as an opportunity to kind of, sort of come out of the closet as gay — while also making a powerful comment upon the importance of privacy.

So many celebs shed tears!

But Mel Gibson, Jodie Foster’s inexplicable BFF, was like, “SAY WHAT?!”

In addition to her win for Best Actress in TV Series Comedy, “Girls” also scored a shocking win for Best TV Series Comedy.

Also, “Les Miserables” won for Best Motion Picture Musical Or Comedy, which gave Anne Hathaway the perfect opportunity to eat costar Amanda Seyfried on stage.

Lastly, Director Ben Affleck — dissed by the Academy for a nomination — and his film “Argo” won big. We were stoked for him and loved seeing him plant a kiss on wife Jennifer Garner.

And, oh yeah, before I forget, Glenn Close was drunk.

Basically, the whole show was awesome.
