David Cameron Is A Fashion Prisoner

“When I go shopping, my wife doesn’t allow me to look around the store at all. I am put in a changing room and things are passed to me like you would pass food to a prisoner.”

British Prime Minister David Cameron describes his usual shopping habits, which are apparently dictated entirely by his wife Samantha. When I first read this quote, I was kind of scandalized by the image of the Prime Minister trapped in a dressing room being forced to try on designer slacks, but then I realized I do the exact same thing to my boyfriend. Usually we do one lap of a store together, and then once he’s safely locked away in the dressing room, I start throwing things over the door and using a combination of threats and bribes to convince him to try them on (this is how he came to own a purple cardigan). Do any of you pick out clothing for your partner? Do you let your partner pick out clothes for you? What are your shopping habits as a couple? [Refinery 29]
