  • At least seven NFL players have voluntarily handed over their personal guns to security after last week’s tragic death of 22-year-old Kasandra Perkins, who was killed by Kansas City Chiefs’ player Jovan Belcher prior to him taking his own life. The couple is survived by a three-month-old girl. Although getting rid of the guns or any other weapons does not address the root cause of domestic violence, I do think it is fantastic that so many people have responded. [ESPN]
