Fiona Apple Gets “Frosty” & Other Celebs Singing Christmas Carols
Is there anything better than a good ol’ cheesy Christmas carol? What about a cheesy Christmas carol sung by a famous person?
Don’t worry: I won’t subject to you John Travolta and Olivia Newton John’s what-the-fuck-is-going-on-here Christmas carol shitshow again. I’ve only rounded up the best (by which I mean both “best” in the traditional sense and “best” as in “dorkiest”) carol-singing celebs that I could find:
Ashley Tisdale, “Last Christmas”: Ashley takes the cheesy hand movements cake.
Mariah Carey, “All I Want For Christmas (Is You)”: No master list of cheesy Christmas ditties would be complete without this Mariah classic. Make sure you don’t miss the kickass cover of “All I Want For Christmas (Is You”) she did this with on “Late Night” with Jimmy Fallon and The Roots. It’s one million times better.
Hanson, “What Christmas Means To Me”: Yours truly might own Hanson’s 1997 Christmas carol album. Just might.
Destiny’s Child, “Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer”: Only Beyoncé could make claymation reindeers sexy.
N’Sync, “The First Noel: A young Justin Timberlake!!!
Britney Spears, “Santa Baby”: This song kinda gives me the skeeves, regardless of who is singing it. I prefer to think of Santa Claus as asexual.
Michael Buble, “Christmas (Please Come Home)”: Cheesy is Michael Buble’s middle name. You have to admit, he has a voice made for Christmas carols.
Dear readers, I spared you the Spice Girls performing “a Christmas medley,” but only because Scary Spice forgets the words in the middle of her solo and it’s kind of sad.
Any other celebs singing Christmas carols that I forgot? Let us know in the comments!
