Yesterday, on his birthday, Jay-Z’s YouTube page released a 24-minute documentary about his eight-night run at the Barclay Center in Brooklyn. The best moment in the great little film is when Jay takes the subway to his last performance (which, brag brag brag, I attended) and sits down to a lovely older woman named Ellen (she’s since been identified as artist Ellen Grossman), who doesn’t know who he is … at first. It’s an adorable exchange and the only thing that maybe would have made it better is if Beyonce had been there and taught Ellen the “Countdown” dance. But maybe Bey can consider such a scene for her upcoming documentary. Anyway, watch above! [HyperVocal]
