Anyone in Toronto want a feminist blogger for a new roommate? I’m nothing short of enamored by The Monkey’s Paw bookstore and it’s Biblio-Mat, a vending machine that dispenses books for $2 apiece. The Monkey’s Paw’s owner originally envisioned a large box with one of his employees inside, handing out books manually. Then a friend told him that constructing a real, mechanical vending machine would not be too difficult. The result is pretty damn cool: insert your money and the Biblio-Mat shoots out random second-hand books. My only complaint is that the books it dispenses on the video don’t look too enticing.
