The Stevie Nicks Documentary Of My Dreams

“In Your Dreams,” the Stevie Nicks documentary of my dreams, will be premiering at the Mill Valley Film Festival on October 12. The cameras followed the Gold Dust Woman during the making of her most recent solo record, also called In Your Dreams. Obviously, I would watch Stevie Nicks talk about a piece of poop for two hours, but this really doc really does look amazing.

“With cameras in tow, documentarian [Dave] Stewart and diva Nicks set up shop in her home studio and reveal their collaborative creative process, as snippets of words and music undergo inspired tinkering and emerge as fully fledged gems. Throughout, Nicks shares intimate memories of childhood and her high-flying days with Fleetwood Mac,” says the premiere description.

P.S. That’s Dave Stewart of the Eurythmics, by the way. If these clips are any indication of the rest of the film, it’s part art film/ part music documentary/ part magicalness of my favorite gypsy about her creative process. All she has to do is mention Edgar Allen Poe and Jane Eyre and I’m basically salivating. (Also the check out the second clip above, where Stevie talks about going on tour after getting sober.) [ONTD]
