Beauty Cues: Kirsten Dunst Adds Some Sparkle To Another “Bachelorette” Premiere
Let me pose a very serious question: does Kirsten Dunst ever go wrong? (Before you ask, I think she has done her very best to absolve herself of that totally weird amFAR dress.) With formidable fashion choices and equally stunning acting chops, it’s all too easy to forget that Kiki was the street-style celeb to watch before she decided to step away from the spotlight in 2008.
Anyway, I’m thrilled to see the actress back in action, and I daresay she’s better than ever. Publicity rounds for “Bachelorette” alongside Lizzy Caplan and Isla Fisher have seen her through a series of show-stealing outfits, and I’m consistently impressed by her interesting beauty looks. (She may also know a thing or two about teabagging, but that is neither here nor there.) They’re always pretty, but she never goes for the traditional trappings — a matte red lip, as seen here, is classic, but her shimmery copper shadow turns the standard on its head for an effective unexpected edge.
GET THE LOOK
- NARS Lipstick in Heat Wave: This cult favorite color is a true hot red with the slightest suggestion of orange, which gives the shade a surprisingly teeth-whitening effect. Its semi-matte finish is more cream than chalk, so it goes on with ease, but use a small lip brush for the best, cleanest result.
- Stila Eye Shadow in Copper: With tons of shimmer particles, this shadow is one you’ll want to apply with a light hand (read: a soft, fluffy brush). Line the inner rims of eyes with your favorite dark kohl or gel liner, then sweep the shadow over lids and past the outer corner diagonally and below the eye for a slightly winged shape.
