A Real Life Bonnie & Clyde: Kissing Couple Refuses To Give Their Identity

When Mo Gelber took an impromptu photo of the couple being hauled off by the cops a few weeks ago, he didn’t think much of it. Then he entered the photo in a contest run by Ron Howard, and got pretty far. But! He needed the couple in the picture to sign a release allowing him to use their image in order to move forward in the rounds. He somehow got ahold of the chic, blonde girl, Alexis Creque, but Creque refuses to give up the name of her boyfriend.

Ah, love.

That’s because Creque’s beau had been caught tagging the side of a building in Manhattan at the time. She didn’t want his name to become public, and thereby be associated with all of his other tags around the city. It’s weird, I know, but it’s some kind of graffiti code thing. Gelber is desperate, and said that he’d even take the photo release out to Riker’s Island Prison, where the guy was being held, to get him to sign.

“He’s a fine artist and does graffiti all over the city.” said Creque, in explaining why she won’t give up her boyfriend’s name. “I was just the look-out. We had a crazy romance all summer. It is like a movie.” [NY Daily News]
