I Want To Go To There: Senegal’s Pink Lake

Senegal’s Lake Retba is like something out of Willy Wonka’s chocolate factory, only instead of chocolate, it looks like Strawberry Quik. The naturally occurring pink lake has a very high salt content, which makes it ideal conditions for a type of micro-algae to grow which give the water a pink hue. Girliest body of water ever, right?
