Remember the custom-built, $8 million train that rolled into the Louis Vuitton Fall/Winter show at Paris Fashion Week a few months ago? It isn’t being put in storage just yet–in fact, it’s been reconstructed in a New York studio to serve as the backdrop for the collection’s ad campaign. Steven Meisel shot the ads, starring 10 female models decked out in uber glamorous travel wear, assisted by four male porters. Says designer Marc Jacobs: “We wanted to continue the journey we started with the fashion show,” including “the glamour of travel and the romance of going somewhere.” Wherever that train’s going, we’d love to catch a ride.
