You’ll have to excuse me if I don’t know what to say about this Fiona Apple video for “Every Single Night,” the first song off her new album, The Idler Wheel Is Wiser Than the Driver of the Screw and Whipping Cords Will Serve You More Than Ropes Will Ever Do. Fiona is wearing an octopus on her head, writhing in the dirt with snails, and floating through assorted ethereal and weird scenarios. God only knows what it’s supposed to mean. Maybe nothing?
