Beauty Test Drive: Benefit Boi-Ing Concealer

I’ve long complained in these Beauty Test Drives that I have dry skin. The driest skin. Well, I’m going to complain about it again! But this time it is to tell you that Benefit’s Boi-Ing concealer, which has a greasy, almost melted-waxy consistency, is a super choice for quick coverups on the go. Or, in moments of morning-after desperation, you could use it all over your face as a foundation.

Price/Availability: $19,

Packaging: The full-size Boi-ing concealers are perfectly purse-sized and the small version (which I got in a larger Benefit makeup kit containing smaller sizes of their products) even more so. I have lots of Benefit makeup and they seem to invest a lot of money in quality packaging; I’ve never had a break. This means I don’t have to worry about the product leaking out inside my bag! (I cannot say the same for your FIT ME line, Maybelline.)

Formula: As I wrote, Boi-ing is greasy, almost like melted wax.  It goes on easy with finger swipes and doesn’t require a foundation brush, which is why it’s excellent for using on the go.  You can use it to cover zits or even dark circles under your eyes. In my opinion, it goes on in a more natural-looking way than other concealers and foundations.

Wear Time: Decent, but not full-workday amazing. (But what makeup is, really?) However, I am convinced my face eats makeup as a side career.

Overall: I received the Boi-ing concealer that I use for free in a makeup kit that Benefit sent me. But when I’ve used it up, I will absolutely be replacing my Boi-ing.

Overall: 5/5
