Is it just me, or have GIFs become increasingly popular with the fashion set? First, the controversial “Haute Mess” GIFs for Vogue Italia, followed by Miu Miu’s hypnotizing handbag pornography. The next establishment to try their hand at the medium is Prada, who partnered with graphic designer Vahram Muratyan (of Paris versus New York fame — love) to produce a series of GIFs called “Parallel Universes,” featuring accessories from the Italian fashion house’s 2012 collections. Unlike previous incarnations (which, it must be said, should probably have come with a seizure warning), these GIFs move subtly and almost twitchingly. The effect is simple, whimsical, and downright charming — check out my favorites after the jump. [Hint]
