As if we need any more reason to believe that our President is as hip as they come: Obama’s throwing a party in his hometown, and all the biggest fashion folks are invited. Back in February, the POTUS introduced Runway To Win, a fundraising effort featuring reasonably priced Barack-branded clothing and accessories with proceeds going towards his re-election campaign, and now his people have announced a star-studded event for June 12. The show, hosted by Anna Wintour and Iman, will honor the unveiling of the Runway To Win pop-up shop and will feature looks by Prabal Gurung, Marc Jacobs, Narciso Rodriguez, Alexander Wang, and more (you can check out, and purchase, all of the offerings at the Runway To Win website). I’m kind of clueless about politics, but I do know a thing or two about fashion, and it looks like Obama does, too.
