We’ve been big fans of Kim France ever since she worked at Sassy magazine and invented this thing called Kim France Pants, which were pants that were to be worn under skirts and such. She worked at Sassy before going on to start Lucky. And then weirdly — just like her former co-conspirator Jane Pratt’s mag Jane before her – Lucky was taken over by Brandon Holley. Now France is back with a new project, titled Girls of a Certain Age, a blog aimed at women in their 30s and 40s. “I’m 48, but I’m an immature 48,” said France. “There are people in this city who work in creative businesses whose interests are still very youth-ish. They like rock music, looking cool, but they are not kids anymore. They don’t, you know, respond to crotch high skirts on a style blog, no matter how cute they look.” Mazel tov! [WWD]
