Fashion Is Pain, Or Something

This dress from Ukrainian designer Oleksiy Zalevskiy opens its skirt to reveal not layers and layers of crinoline, but a team of scantily clad man slaves, stuck in the model’s corset cage, forced to schlep her around. It’s a metaphor, we think, for the way fashion enslaves its wearers. Or commentary on the cruelties inherent in the fashion industry. Or it’s just a clever way to get some beefcake on the runway during an otherwise boring fashion presentation. [Buzzfeed]
