Would You Wear: Bustier Tops?

Lingerie-inspired dressing is hot right now, and celebrities are taking note. Just last night, Miley Cyrus attended the premiere of “The Hunger Games” in a glorified bra-and-maxi skirt combo. While her interpretation fell flat for us, I would totally snag that bustier top and pair it with something less matchy-matchy, or even wear it under a sheer blouse. Rihanna, Lady Gaga, and Katy Perry are all repeat offenders, and Madonna made it famous in her day, so maybe it’s a pop star thing. However, just because they wear theirs cropped above the bellybutton doesn’t mean you have to — a bustier-style tank top or dress is equally alluring without the added midriff exposure. So, what do you think? Would you wear it? After the jump, check out my choice picks for emulating the trend.
