Beauty Test Drive: BECCA’s Beach Tint Cream Stain
Want the same earthy, natural effect as Laura Mercier or Bobbi Brown but can’t reach quite so deep into your pockets? BECCA Cosmetics is a less pricy brand that’s just as gorgeous — and their Beach Tint cream stain has already gotten me a compliment from my boss. Beach Tint comes in a tiny tube (you don’t need a brush!) and can be blended onto your cheeks like blush/bronzer or swiped across your lips — or both.
I’ve tried the color Fig (a tea rose pink) both ways and I have to say it’s prettiest as a blush/bronzer. The brownish undertones are super-easy to match with, say, a swipe of brown eyeshadow. Using Beach Tint on my lips also looked pretty, but it went from looking slick to dry quickly — and felt dry, too. Perhaps that’s the trade-off because it’s water-resistant? This stuff stays put and doesn’t need to be reapplied after a kiss (or lunch).
Beach Tint is paraben-free, too, if you’re concerned about that kind of stuff in your makeup. And it doesn’t hurt that Allure magazine awarded Beach Tint its Editors’ Award Choice! It’s definitely worth a try if you’re on the hunt for a natural-looking blush.
