Long gone are my middle school days of Manic Panic and Kool-Aid experimentations. But, when I went to the salon last week, I found myself insanely jealous of the girl in the chair next to me who was getting her long locks dyed an ombre magenta. Then my stylist took out a wondrous, magic tool: Kevin Murphy’s Color.Bug. Available in three colors — purple, pink, and orange — the little capsules dispense wash-out pigments to your hair. All you need do is apply a product to dampen the hair first (so color sticks to it), and rub the Bug into your strands. Washes out after one night. If I had longer hair, I’d definitely be into this.
