  • Spain’s new justice minister said he will see to make parental permission — not notification, but permission — a requirement for 16- and 17-year-olds who seek abortion. [Huffington Post]
  • British politician Diane Abbott has resigned from a working group to discuss the government’s approach to incorporating pre-abortion counseling into it’s national health program, claiming the group is filled with folks hoping to “push forward an anti-abortion agenda.” Abbott said she joined the working group in good faith but is now not confident the other members aren’t just pushing an anti-abortion agenda at any cost.  [Guardian UK]
