The Olympus BioScapes Digital Imaging Competition, according to their website, “honors the world’s most extraordinary microscope images of life science subjects,” and extraordinary they are. This year’s winner, Charles Krebs, photographed the feeding of Rotifer Floscularia ringens, with its cilia carrying water containing food.
