Buffalo High School Football Coach Pat Lynch Resigns Over “Hurt Feelings Report”

Pat Lynch, the head football coach of Buffalo High School in Wyoming, resigned recently after handing out homophobic and sexist “hurt feelings reports” to players asking them if they were a “pussy,” “a queer,” “a little bitch,” have “woman like hormones” (sic) and a litany of other puerile options. The report reads:

“We, as a company, take hurt feelings very seriously. If you don’t have a mommy that can give you a hug and make it all better, please let your supervisor know and we can provide you with a surrogate. If you need them, diapers, midol (sic) and a ‘blanky’ can also be supplied.”

At the very bottom of the report are three places for signatures which read “Name little sissy filing report,” “Girly-man signature,” and “real-man (sic) signature (person being accused).”

The “hurt feelings report” just goes to show how the next frontier of feminism is breaking down gender barriers for men and boys so they are not subjected to this sexist, gender-policing crap. It is no wonder some men are so screwed up that the only way they can express any emotion is by screaming with rage and committing violence when they’re told to shut off whole parts of themselves if they want to be “real men.” I can’t think of anything more harmful to developing young men than telling them if they express their feelings — no, if they have feelings — they are a pussy or a queer. (And yes, there’s a misogynist element to it, too, by implying having “woman like hormones” (sic) or needing Midol is a fate worse than death.) What’s more is that this coach was basically giving a free pass for bullies: the “real man” in the “hurt feelings report” is the one being accused.

In response to the “hurt feelings report” being made public, Pat Lynch apologized and submitted his resignation as head coach, which he held for 13 years.  But in an interview with the Caspar Star-Tribune, the school superintendent Dr. Rod Kessler said he still supports Lynch. That is why, wonder of wonders, Lynch is staying on with his job at the school as a guidance counselor. Yes: a guidance counselor!

I … don’t even know what to say.

I don’t want to create unsubstantiated rumors, but you have to wonder WTF happened to this guy that made him the very definition of maschismo on steroids. What is he overcompensating for, you know? I would love to be a fly on the wall when it comes out what his problem is.
