Elisabetta Canalis Talks About “Father-Daughter Relationship” With George Clooney
“[George Clooney was] the person who valued my feminine side the most. … He has been a special for me, and very important, just as a father would be. … Between us there was more of a father-daughter relationship. I was unable to clarify this up ’til now.”
— Elisabetta Canalis talks about her relationship with George Clooney in a forthcoming book “about love” written by an Italian journalist. People has some excerpts from the book, including the interesting nugget quoted above. I’m not quite sure I understand. So, Elisabetta and George’s relationship was more paternalistic than romantic? Or both? I hope they were able to put aside the father-daughter stuff during sex because eww.
Anyway, find out what Elisabetta had to say about rumors that she and George broke up because she wanted kids and marriage, after the jump…
“George and I never spoke of marriage nor of having kids. I don’t put limits to the possibility of having them, but neither George nor I had ever envisaged having kids together. The end of the relationship was not caused by a marriage issue, but instead by our personal needs. … George is a real gentleman even in his private life. I was very much respected both as a woman and partner.”
I think by “personal needs” she means her need to maximize her 15 minutes of fame by appearing on “Dancing With the Stars” and his need to stick it in Stacy Keibler. So, sounds like going their separate ways was mutual. Doesn’t get any easier than that! [People]
