Guy Purposely Gains Weight — So He Can Take It Off
If you’re a guy who’s really into fitness, what’s the last thing you’d probably do? Try and gain a bunch of weight. But that’s exactly what Drew Manning is doing, just so he can prove how easy it is to take the weight back off. Drew!
Manning, who is a professional trainer, has helpfully posted his current weight-gaining diet regimen, which includes donuts, pizza, ice cream — basically everything I love. Right now he’s eating around 3,500 calories a day. When he begins his diet menu, he’ll be eating around 2,900 calories, but much of that will be protein, instead of the high fat, sugar and carb diet he’s currently rocking.
This seems like a really bad idea, for a number of reasons, not the least of which is that it’s going to put added, unnecessary stress on his organs. But Drew seems unruffled. “My goal is to inspire people to get fit, teach them how to do it and give them hope that it IS possible to get fit and stay fit,” says Drew on his website. “I want to share my comprehensive fitness knowledge with my followers so that they can know how to lose weight successfully, even though for many it’s going to be a struggle.” Nice sentiment, but does this seem completely unhealthy to anybody else?
