Michelle Obama is our hero. She is using the get-lots-of-people-to-do-a-simple-thing strategy in order to set a Guinness World Record. More specifically, she is teaming up with National Geographic Kids to break the world record for the most people doing jumping jacks in a 24 hour period, beginning on October 11 at 3 p.m. and ending on October 12th at the same time. To break the record, they will need a minimum of 20,426 people to do a minute of jumping jacks—so they are recruiting groups of kids all over the world. Hundreds of kids in DC will even get to do their jumping jacks on the South Lawn of the White House. We bet the Secret Service is not too thrilled – after all, that’s an awful lot of kids to frisk.
