H&M designer collaborations have been hit or miss over the years. Some — like the Viktor & Rolf collab – were absolute stunners, while others we had high hopes for (Lanvin, in particular) fell terribly flat. So we’re definitely a bit apprehensive about the new Versace for H&M collection that hits stores next month. First off, Versace is a lot of look. A lot. Of. Look. High Versace Priestess Donatella Versace is herself a testament to the brand’s over-the-top loud style. But what’s helped Versace succeed is that her bold prints and overt sexiness have been tempered by high quality fabrics and textiles. So given that H&M’s line will be produced for a lower price point and with lower quality fabrications, well, this could spell trouble. What do you think? Would you wear it?
