I adore the Flaming Lips. Why? Because Wayne Coyne and crew always come off with slightly bonkers ideas to make music just a little more fun. Like, when they got friends to dress up in animal costumes and dance with flashlights at their shows. Or when Wayne took to rolling a giant bubble over the band’s audiences. The band’s newest coo-coo idea? They are recording a six hour long song. And Wayne has been tweeting tidbits of it as it’s recorded. “Yessssssssss!!!!! Almost 4 1/2 hours of the Six Hour Song!!!!” Guess we’ll have to wait and hear the full thing. I wonder if they’ll ever play it live?
