Beauty Test Drive: Bliss Fabulips Treatment Kit
The beauty industry is all about developing products and then creating a demand for said products — which actually means they convince us that we really, really, really need those creams, salves, and washes or we’ll turn ugly! So I have to admit I was quite skeptical when I was invited to try out Bliss’ Fabulips Treatment Kit at one of the Bliss spas in NYC … That and y’all know I’ve been having some lip issues this summer, but I took one for the TF team and puckered up for the nice lady in the Bliss lab coat, anyway.
Is the Bliss Fabulips Treatment Kit worth the hype and the money? Keep clicking to find out. First off, let me explain exactly what the Fabulips treatment is. Bliss packaged the Fabulips Foaming Lip Cleanser, the Fabulips Sugar Lip Scrub, the Fabulips Instant Lip Plumper, and the Fabulips Softening Lip Balm into one package so fans of the in-spa service can experience the treatment at home too. So basically, the kit allows you to cleanse, exfoliate, plump, and soothe the lips.
I’d be lying if I said I didn’t enjoy getting my lips pampered at Bliss. Even the few moments when I looked like a rabid dog from the extreme foaming of the cleanser were pleasant. And surprisingly, the Fabulips treatment actually soothed the burning sensation caused by my lip eczema — yes, I may be the only person on this planet who has lip eczema. I will say, though, that I didn’t notice a major difference in the plumpness of my pucker, though the Fabulips Instant Lip Plumper did cause a little tingling … if that’s really anyone’s goal.
So is the Bliss Fabulips Treatment Kit worth the hype and the money? Well yes and no. Ever notice how every part of your body has some special beauty regimen, except the lips? Well, if you’re a product junkie and enjoy adding more steps to your routine, then Fabulips is worth the hype. If you have $45 to just blow, then it’s also worth the money. [$45, Bliss]
