Joseph Gordon-Levitt And Channing Tatum Go Bald For Very Different Movies

This week, we caught a glimpse of both Channing Tatum and Joseph Gordon-Levitt rocking bald heads. Both hairdos are apparently for upcoming movies. Channing’s freshly shaved head was noticed by the papparazi as he walked around in LA, and many are assuming it’s for his role as Duke in “GI Joe 2: Cobra Strikes,” which has just started filming.

Meanwhile, Joseph’s shorn locks are for a very different movie. We’ll see Joseph next in “50/50,” alongside Seth Rogen. In the movie, the two play young NPR segment producers and lifelong best friends whose lives are both uprooted when one of them—Joseph, hence the hair—is diagnosed with cancer. The flick co-stars Bryce Dallas Howard, Anna Kendrick, and the awesome Anjelica Huston and it’s based on a true story. Seth Rogen apparently went through this ordeal when his best friend—the film’s writer Will Reiser—battled cancer and was given a 50/50 chance of living. This flick looks both funny and powerful, and it’s starting to get some Oscar buzz. Which means that even though we loved Joseph’s hair, we’re happy to see it go. See him shave it all off below.
