Beyoncé Thinks She Was A Mermaid In A Past Life

I remember being thoroughly fascinated by MTV’s documentary special on Britney Spears, “Britney: For The Record.” And now the network had apparently done the same for Beyoncé. Here is the opening segment of “Year of 4,” which premiered last night. It begins with black and white footage of Beyoncé on the beach. “I’m always happy when I’m surrounded by water. I think I was a mermaid,” she said. “The ocean makes me feel really small and it makes me put my whole life into perspective… it humbles you and makes you feel almost like you’ve been baptized. I feel born again when I get out of the ocean.” Did anyone watch the whole thing last night? Here’s hoping they replay it over the weekend. Luckily, MTV is known for their recycling.
