Reactions To Ryan Dunn’s Death

Yesterday was a very sad day for “Jackass” fans. Ryan Dunn, one of the stars of the show and movies, was killed in a car crash when his Porsche skidded off the road and over a guardrail just outside Philadelphia. Shortly before the accident, Dunn had Tweeted a photo of himself and two friends—one of whom also died in the wreck—at a bar. It’s unclear whether they had one or two drinks, or if alcohol consumption was the cause of the crash. (Dunn did receive a DUI in 2005 after crashing his car just a few miles away, though completed an alcohol education course designed for first-time DUI offenders.)

Since the news was released, there’s been a steady stream of celebrity posts about Ryan on Twitter. After the jump, some of them. His “Jackass” co-star Johnny Knoxville said:

“Today I lost my brother Ryan Dunn. My heart goes out to his family and his beloved Angie. RIP Ryan, I love you buddy.”

Steve O said:

“I don’t know what to say, except I love Ryan Dunn and I’m really going to miss him.”

Rick Kosic, also of “Jackass,” said:

“I’ve been thinking about all the good times I’ve had with Ryan and it’s hard to hold back the tears. I already miss him. RIP Ryan Dunn.”

Benji Madden said:

“I’m very Sad and Shocked to hear about Ryan Dunn. My thoughts&Prayers are with his family.”

Shortly after the news of Dunn’s death was released, Roger Ebert caused a big controversy with this Tweet:

“Friends don’t let jackasses drink and drive.”

Dunn’s “Jackass” co-star Bam Margera responded:

“I just lost my best friend, I have been crying hysterical for a full day and piece of s**t roger exert has the gall to put in his 2 cents. Millions of people are crying right now, shut your fat f**king mouth!”

Comic Rob Delaney added:

“He was almost as drunk on booze as you are on self-satisfaction.”
