All Up In The Upfronts: The Shows We’re Most Excited For, Part 2

Thirteen is technically an unlucky number. But at their upfront presentation this morning, ABC announced that’s the magic number of new shows they will be premiering in the fall and winter. There’s some fun-looking stuff on the lineup, too, from the much hyped reboot of “Charlie’s Angels” to the return of James van der Beek to network television. More after the jump.

The Show: “Charlie’s Angels”
The Deets: ABC, Thursdays at 8 p.m. (EST)
We saw the Angels in the ’70s. We saw the in the ’00s. But what do they look like in 2011? Well, one of them is a rich girl turned burgler. Another is a police officer who went down in a scandal. And a third—Minka Kelly of “Friday Night Lights” — is a street racer looking to avenge the death of a friend. We’ll be watching for the plot and to see what they wear.

The Show: “Pan Am”
The Deets: ABC, Sundays at 10 p.m. (EST)
NBC’s ‘”Mad Men” knockoff takes place at the Playboy Club in the ’60s. ABC’s goes the airport route with a show about Pan Am stewardesses. The bad part—the stewardesses are weighed in. The good news? The show co-stars the awesome Christina Ricci.

The Show: “Apartment 23″
The Deets: To Be Determined
Dawson is back! Woo hoo! James van deer Beek plays himself in this new show, who also happens to be the best friend of a girl who scams roommates by driving them crazy to the point where they move out and banking their rent. “I am part of the great digestive system of New York,” she explains. Until one of these girls turns the table on her.

The Show: “Good Christian Belles”
The Deets: To Be Determined
“Mean Girls” meets “Welcome Back Kotter.” That’s how I’d describe this show about a cool girl who terrorized her classmates in high school, and has to deal with them now that she’s lost her job and had to move back home. I’m sold on the cast here—Leslie Bibb of “Popular,” plus Kristin Chenoweth and Annie Potts. Fun!
