“Wonder Woman” Has Been Nixed By NBC

When it was announced that David E. Kelly, the husband of Michelle Pfeiffer and creator of “Ally McBeal,” was working on a reboot of “Wonder Woman,” the buzz instantly reached a fever pitch. We all started speculating on who could fill Linda Carter’s iconic star-spangled hotpants. When Adrianne Palicki of “Friday Night Lights” landed the role, we got a little giddy. We even reveled in her big costume reveal.

But apparently, it was much ado over nothing. NBC has passed on the series. It doesn’t mean that the show is dead, per se—there is still the possibility that a cable network could still pick it up. But it’s certainly an indication that the final product wasn’t all that … good. Which is disappointing.

What do you think—are you sad the new “Wonder Woman” won’t be on the television schedule come fall or did you think it looked lame from the get-go?
