10. New Rodarte for Opening Ceremony Sweater Dress: Sisters Kate and Laura Mulleavy have been making headlines of late. A favorite of fashion insiders since the launch of their label, Rodarte, in 2005, they have recently: designed costumes for the Oscar-winning film “Black Swan” as well as the dress the movie’s star, Natalie Portman, wore to the Academy Awards ceremony; announced a capsule collection for Pitti W, the women’s wear section of Pitti Immagine (it’s the first time the designers will show in Europe); opened a solo exhibition at the Museum of Contemporary Art Pacific Design Center in Los Angeles; and designed an exclusive collection for cutting-edge retailer Opening Ceremony, for which this dress is a part.
