Last night was a cringe-worthy episode of “Dancing with the Stars.” The contestants had to dance out tales of their personal struggle. Petra Nemcova danced about surviving the tsunami in 2004. And Kirstie Alley splayed herself wide open, dancing to “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” and dedicating her performance to her mom, who was hit and killed by a drunk driver in 1980, right before her acting career took off. So it made it even sadder when, a short moment into their performance, Kirstie dipped into her partner Maksim Chmerkovsky and they both tumbled to the ground after a slide. They got back up, but Maksim took a few seconds and winced pretty dramatically before the two started dancing again. Luckily, the judges were very forgiving. [TV Squad]
