This past weekend, my friend Abby and I hunkered down indoors and waited out the rain by eating pizza and watching movies. On the top of our list: The Gwyneth Paltrow-helmed “Emma,” based on the Jane Austin novel. The story features the usual Jane Austen trappings (Wiitty banter! Love! Cheeky misunderstandings!),but it also has some absolutely divine clothes. Of course, it’s nearly impossible to find anything nearly as glorious as the reform-style gowns worn by Gwynnie and the gang, but we figured we could try to evoke the look with some artfully adorned collared shirts.
