Just when Charlie Sheen finds his babysitting goddesses, Brooke Mueller files a restraining order against him and has authorities pull their sons, 23-month-old twins Bob and Max, from his house. Brooke says Charlie took the boys on February 26 and hasn’t allowed her contact since. “I am very concerned that he is currently insane,” she said in the biggest “no duh” statement of the year. “I am in great fear that he will find me and attack me and I am in great fear for the children’s safety while in his care.” [People]
Charlie, of course, is taking the battle to the media. He gave Radar Online home video footage of the surrender which shows him sharing an apple with one of the boys and saying, “Don’t say goodbye, just say see you later. I love you little man, I will see you very soon.” Yeah, that isn’t manipulative at all. Also, can we keep the kids out of the media spotlight, please?
He also gave a comment to TMZ. “I’m going crazy. I have to find my children,” he said.
Then this morning at 4:30 a.m., he called “The Today Show” to deliver a message to his ex. “Brooke, I’m sorry you felt this had to be done in this way, but this does not display any responsible parenting that I’m familiar with,” he said. “I think that cooler and smarter, leveler heads can prevail, and I urge you to reach out to me, immediately if not sooner, and tell me where our sons are. … There’s more love, compassion, support, childcare and everything else you could possibly want for a child in this lovely home. It’s a hundred thousand times better than what’s going to be delivered or offered in her house.” [People]
Oh man. I hope these kids can get through this without serious scarring.
